Center for Endoscopy

The services of the Center for Endoscopy include, in particular, gastroscopy (stomach), colonoscopy (intestines), and bronchoscopy (lungs).

Gastroscopy, for example, is carried out to help diagnose stomach ulcers. Colonoscopy plays an important role in the early detection of colon cancer. It is also possible to remove so-called polyps during this procedure.

The examination is undertaken as an inpatient procedure requiring only a short admission of less than 24 hours.

The procedure generally involves only a brief period of anesthesia (sedoanalgesia). As a result, the procedure will be painless and without unpleasant sensations.

The Center for Endoscopy at Graz Ragnitz Private Hospital has been a certified endoscopy center since 2009.
